RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2026 — CBT 1, CBT 2 (Part A & B) & CBAT

CBAT is only for candidates who want to be Loco Pilot (ALP). Technician posts skip CBAT:

• Tests: Memory (short-term + long-term), Attention, Concentration, Following Directions
• Battery of 6 subtests conducted on computer
• Minimum qualifying score: 42 marks out of 100 in each subtest
• No negative marking in CBAT
• Shortlisted: 8× vacancy from Part A merit list
• Final merit for ALP: 70% weightage to CBT-2 Part A + 30% to CBAT

Final stages after CBAT/CBT-2:

• DV: Original documents verification at RRB office
• Medical for ALP: Medical Category A2 (high standards for Loco Pilots)
• Vision: 6/6 (unaided) in one eye, 6/9 in other — strict eye standard
• Colour Vision: Must pass Ishihara Colour Plates test (no colour blindness)
• Medical for Technician: Less stringent medical category
