RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2026 — CBT 1, CBT 2 & Typing Test

Applicable only for posts requiring typing skills (Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, etc.).

• English Typing: 30 words per minute (WPM)
• Hindi Typing: 25 WPM on a personal computer
• TST is qualifying in nature — does NOT carry marks
• Conducted on computer with English/Hindi keyboard
• Visually Handicapped candidates: Additional time as per railway norms

Candidates shortlisted after CBT-2 (and TST if applicable) are called for document verification.

• 10th/12th Mark Sheet and Certificate
• Graduation Certificate (for Graduate level posts)
• Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) — non-creamy layer certificate for OBC
• EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• PWD Certificate (if applicable)
• Discharge Certificate / NOC (for ex-servicemen)
• Date of Birth Proof
• Photo ID Proof

Medical fitness is mandatory. Different posts have different medical standards:

• Visual Acuity: Distant vision 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (for some posts)
• Colour Vision: Required for certain posts (Goods Guard, etc.)
• Medical Category: A1 to C2 depending on the post
• Conducted at Railway Hospitals
